Voices Of Experience : Episode 5 - Arooj Khan

For the 5th episode of Voices Of Experience, I was joined by my talented close friend Arooj Khan.

A fellow desi who grew up in East London/Essex we spoke about our experiences of racism in Essex, its subsequent impact on our mental health and how it's shaped our politics. Arooj also spoke a lot about her experiences as a WOC doing her postgraduate while she navigates the inequality and strife racism in academia.

An incredibly eloquent speaker, Arooj also boldly called out the hypocrisy in academia in relation to sexism, racism and classism through facts and figure.

Change is coming in academia and we're incredibly proud to platform an individual who's fighting for that.
