BBC Radio Nottingham Interview
We were invited to speak on the radio yesterday evening (my first time and I was sweating buckets).
I joined Hansa on BBC Radio Nottingham to talk about my own journey with mental health and the role it plays in South Asian communities.
I also spoke about language and the important role it plays creating dialogue around mental wellbeing.
I also explored masculinity and how it can stop men from talking about their mental well-being let alone their emotions.
Then we spoke quite a bit about cooking (the main reason I was invited on) and how it can be such a great form of stress release.
This is all in relation to our new series #desimenletstalkinthekitchen where we try to get more South Asian into the kitchen with mental wellbeing a focus.
